TJ Bauer
TJ BauerShop Manager
TJ is either helping customers in the shop or chasing eaters on the creek with his dog, Winnie. He enjoys some of the finer things in life like streamer eats from the front of the boat and long walks with the trout spey rod. Drop by and he will lead you in the right direction.
Alex Marut
Alex MarutGuide
Alex, an East Coast native, started fly fishing for largemouth and striped bass. Now based in Colorado, he explores alpine lakes and mountain creeks. When not fishing, he’s either in the kitchen as a professional chef or hanging with his dogs, Rio and Joki.
Ethan True
Ethan TrueGuide
Ethan grew up fishing Wisconsin’s north woods for smallmouth, pike, and driftless trout. Since moving to Colorado in 2020 to study ecology at CU Boulder, he’s developed a passion for fly fishing. You’ll find him exploring new waters and sharing what he learns with others.
Mason Collier

Bill Hayes
Bill HayesGuide
Bill’s first fishing memory is cleaning fish with his grandfather. After decades of fly fishing, it’s become his therapy and meditation. With over 35 years on the water, he now finds joy in helping others experience the calm and connection fly fishing brings.
Matthew Reincke
Matthew ReinckeGuide - Shop Employee
Matt, a Michigan native, fell in love with fly fishing and tying at age 12. At CU Boulder, he served as president of the fly fishing club. Today, he brings that same passion and focus to the RMA team, always eager to share the stoke.
Evan Bonano
Evan BonanoGuide
Evan grew up chasing redfish in Louisiana’s marshes, but now brings that same passion to Colorado’s rivers. Whether behind the lens or casting a fly, he’s chasing the next perfect shot—or perfect fish. If you can’t find him, he’s probably already upriver with rod in hand.
Mark Schaefer
Mark SchaeferGuide
Mark grew up chasing stripers on Long Island before moving to Colorado in 2004 and falling for trout. He loves guiding walk-and-wade trips on private water. Off the clock, he’s usually floating rivers or skiing with his wife and two kids in the Rockies.
