Phantom Canyon Private Guided Trip
Each season, we’re proud to offer a limited number of guided fly fishing trips to Phantom Canyon, an extraordinary and secluded stretch of the North Fork of the Poudre River. Through a special partnership with The Nature Conservancy, our fly fishing guides are granted rare access to this protected area, allowing small groups of anglers to experience Colorado fly fishing as it once was, wild, remote, and incredibly rewarding.
Getting there involves a short 1-mile hike into a roadless canyon where nearly 4 miles of pristine water and trail await. The fishing here is exceptional, with wild Brown and Rainbow trout often rising eagerly to dry flies. It’s not uncommon to feel like you’ve stepped back in time, surrounded by rugged canyon walls and signs of wildlife like deer, bighorn sheep, raptors, and even the occasional bear or rattlesnake.
Phantom Canyon trips are limited and fill quickly. Each outing includes lunch, flies, and expert guidance from a seasoned fly fishing guide. A $200 deposit is required to reserve your spot. Anglers should be prepared for a moderately active day, expect to hike several miles while exploring this unforgettable stretch of wild Colorado water. Call the shop at (303) 447-2400 to book your adventure. This is one fly fishing trip you won’t want to miss.
